Not even vaguely true. As Adam Smith himself pointed out, wealth concentration tends to distort free markets. If for no other reason, it encourages rentier behavior, which is extremely negative. So everyone but the one with the wealth tends to be harmed. So neither of you assertions have any basis in reality.

It is basic economics, i-node. Real economics that is. Not the mythical stuff pushed by wingnuts. Which not only doesn't work, it greatly harms most people. Just look at Kansas, Louisiana and every other state where wingnut economics has been applied. Economic growth is hurt. Investments in infrastructure and education are hurt. Which damages prospects for future growth.
