The universe and life are recognizable as designed artifacts of an incredible intelligence. That's just a fact. Which means there is an Grand Original Designer.

Is this designing intelligence a person? It's ridiculous to think of an intelligence that doesn't have self-awareness and is therefore a person. Even people who imagine intelligent machines becoming conscious beings (I don't btw) conceive of such beings as new persons.

So it's rational to believe in a G.O.D. Reason leads you there. [ The essence of the last couple posts. ]

Even atheists (basically people who don't like God) are calling themselves agnostics now or admitting there's an intelligence behind the universe but saying it isn't personal ie it isn't God.

At any rate, faith has nothing to do with anything above.

What you believe ABOUT God and whether you trust in Him, that's where faith comes in. So faith isn't about belief in unseen things imo, it's about TRUST. Do you trust the Grand Original Designer or not?

I think even reason can play a part there ... if there is a Grand Original Designer who went to the trouble of creating a universe then living things then intelligent conscious living things, would not that G.O.D. have an interest in and care for and an even higher purpose for them? It actually makes sense if you think about it.
