Lets take alook at some events. Ingari was taken the hell out of the
picture because he has burned some large institutions such as Goldman
Sachs by issuing more shares at $70 (2.6 milllion to be exact) and
the underwriters and some big funds got burned on the way down. Wall
Street works in some funny ways and I believe the big money is still
penalizing Shiva by having them invest big money at higher prices.
So, you remove Frank although he is still chairman and start fresh with Zucco whos job it is to restore credibility in the eyes of the street. They cannot be upset with him, he didn't "deceive" anyone on the near term prospects of the business. Remember in a high flier,
every quarter matters. To make things worse, Shiva had a really lousy
97. The good news is that this is not a bad company. My hunch is Shiva gets out of the doghouse in 98 under Zucco's leadership. Additionally, I do not believe Shiva would be acquired much under $16-20 range based on other valuations in market such as Microcom,
Livingston etc. My guess again is January effect will move shares
north, could be a dead cat bounce as well. Company share price reflects being in doghouse and lousy 98. What investors are waiting
to react upon is 1. Nortel announcement during Jan conference call
as to how deal is negotiated 2. Direction for the company articulated
by Mr. Zucco. Alot of bad figured into current share price lets hope
for alot of good in 98.
