Dios Exploration (DOS-V) Aug 10, '16 new wholly-owned K2 gold property along Opinaca River, James Bay, Quebec, increases its strategic land position (20 sq. km) near Kali Lake. K2 is centered on several kilometer large Kali QP (Quartz-Porphyry) bordered by felsic volcanics/tuffs, both rock types hosting several sulphidic occurrences associated to northwest structures.

Dios single-day reconnaissance already uncovered two new gold showings (Badji: 5.39 grams gold per tonne, 111 g/t silver, 5% copper and Samosa: 3.39 g/t gold) in addition to a copper showing (Curry: 0.85% Cu, 41 g/t Ag, 0.1 g/t Au).

See map at : http://diosexplo.com/images/K2.jpg

SDBJ and Westmin had outlined in the 1980s ten gold-silver-copper showings grading between 0.1 to 3.17 g/t gold (74 samples or 23% greater than 0.1 g/t Au with 19 samples over 0.5 g/t Au), with silver values (110 samples out of 205 or 54% over 1.0 g/t Ag, incl. 47 samples over 5.0 g/t Ag), and copper values (66 samples out of 205 or 32% over 0.1% Cu, incl. 25 samples over 1.0% Cu). Most disseminated and/or stringer mineralization is found near the QP and volcanic contact.

Newly map-staked K2 (no royalties) is located close to regional Opinaca Fault and favourable LaGrande geological contact, 10 km SW of Elmer Lake. It is adjacent to DIOS' Solo gold project (25 squ. km). DIOS' team is looking forward to further explore this high gold potential intrusion/volcanic contact next week, in the scope of a larger campaign targeting as well very promising Clarkie sediments gold project along the prolific contact hosting Eleonore gold mine and Cheechoo, some 20 km SE of Cheechoo Gold.

Other good indicators for gold on K2 are favourable features such as a WNW mafic dyke swarm, ENE shears, adjacent 5 x1 km magnetite (biotite) altered porous felsic tuffs, and weak potassic (biotite & sericite) alteration. This press release was prepared by Harold Desbiens, M.Sc. Geo 43-101 QP.
