Jesus had only two BIG commandments, second was love one another. ( one could include a third: 'Don't be a hypocrite' trusting-in-jesus.com )

As it turns out we are all hardwired to love & be loved in return.

Make of it as you will but more than most debates prolly one very good place to start all meditations, the alpha & omega.

(though the most cursory glance at expressions of maternal instinct in the higher mammalian universe this revelation literally jumps out at you. Or ask any human mother dating as far back as you wish to go, could tell you all about love in great detail)

“If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore; and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God which had been shown! But every night come out these envoys of beauty, and light the universe with their admonishing smile.”

- Ralph Waldo Emerson
