I suppose it depends on you definition of "a lot". We will ignore Westboro. They are extreme even for Christians.

Just to link to a few.

Gays are pretty aware of these facts. Which is why they tend to erupt into laughter when people like Trump try to claim that Christians as a group support gays.

Now, to be perfectly clear, most Christians do not support the killing of LGBT people. A significant percentage think that to freely practice their religion means they should be free to discriminate against them, but not necessarily assault or kill them. Only a small percentage believe that. But Christians are an overwhelming majority in this country so even a small percentage adds up to a lot of people. Denying they exist is, well delusional.

Where is your source that a "lot" of Christians in this country are calling for gays to be put to death?
To people like CJ, there is no difference between saying that gays deserve to die, and commanding people to go kill gays.

He might have a point if he actually applied his standard consistently. Which he never does, of course.
