Included in the new SYQT 10-K filing from this afternoon is word that SYQT is being sued over the use of the "SPARQ" name by the good people at "SPARC" International:

On December 3, 1997, SPARC International, Inc. filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court in and for the Northern District of California against the Company. The lawsuit alleges that the Company's use of the trademark SparQ in connection with its recently--introduced SparQ removable cartridge hard drive product constitutes an infringement of the SPARC trademark owned by SPARC International, Inc. The complaint requests money
damages and a preliminary and permanent injunction enjoining the Company from further infringement. On December 19, 1997, SPARC International, Inc. filed a motion seeking a preliminary injunction enjoining the Company from using the SparQ trademark on its removable cartridge hard drive products and requesting a hearing on January 26, 1998. The Company believes that it does not infringe any valid trademarks of SPARC International, Inc. and intends
to defend itself against this action. >

About time. Watch this stock dive when the delayed report comes out and shows how much money they're really losing.

>>I live in California. Wouldn't be caught dead in the same state as Rockhead.<<

Gary -

Actually, New York is a pretty big state. And a big city. I hardly even notice he's here. ;-)
