Pressure cookers have other uses than to kill things. What's wrong with killing things? I try and succeed nearly every year killing deer, pheasant and other varmints. I'll bet you eat a lot of things killed by other people for you. Making guns more efficient at killing things seems counter-productive. They're not really get more efficient, but the ammunition has made a lot of improvements lately.
