Dell, CPQ et al. knew about Intel's planned interim price cuts over a month ago. The ACTUAL price delta... couple of weeks ago. They are WAY ahead of the media when it comes to stuff like this. Most folks don't realize how fantastic this is for Dell. Funny, Intel said it cut prices because vendors wanted to accelerate lower price points. This is canned media relations BS. The real reason is to accelerate Slot1 acceptance thereby locking out AMD and Cyrix. All industry insiders know this. Will Intel be successful? In a word.... YES. MEATHEAD
