Matrox II does not support enough of it to run Quake. (which I got for Christmas.)


Yes! Here is the link to Tom's Hardware page 3D review: sysdoc.pair.com . As you can see, the Viper Card performs very well. The drivers are not mature, so have a little patience.

Can the card maintain the refresh rates at 1600x1200 when you go to
higher color depths? Matrox Millenium II can maintain 77 Hz up to 16-bit color. When I go to 24bit color, it drops to 74 Hz.


It is kind of acedemic because with only 4M Bytes of Graphics Memory at 1600 x 1200 you can only get 16-bit color.
