"Whether temperatures have been warmer or colder in the past is largely irrelevant to the impacts of the ongoing warming. Of course that's nonsense. If its been warmer in the past, it shows natural variation is significant. Furthermore, it shows we're not undergoing a crisis. There weren't 7 billion people? So what, the reason there are 7 billion is because our technology makes it possible and that technology makes it possible to adapt to and cope with, IF NECESSARY, to climate change.
