So many users are signing a petition for a re-run of Britain's referendum on European Union membership that they've crashed the House of Commons website hosting the document. more here abcnews.go.com june 23, 2016 will go down in history as the day it all started to unravel. that will be cameron's legacy. england will probably go back to the size it was in the 16th century. the e.u may not survive resulting in a weaker europe at a very dangerous time. we are at a turbulent time in the world. there are a number of unresolved conflicts; huge numbers of refugees, more than at any time since WWII; we have to deal with climate change; we have tensions in asia between the u.s. and china and china and its neighbours; we have a mess in the middle east; we have constant threats of terrorism. this is not a time for the e.u. to fall to pieces yet it looks like that might happen, and, on top of it all, there's a global financial crisis unfolding. i see chaos - uprisings - despair.
