To Jay:

I have traded S&P's since 1990. It is a great trading vehicle.
It is expensive margin- 20,000 per contract before it split.
You can make and lose a lot of money. I would trade between a
5 to 10 lot for my company's account to a max of 25 contracts.
For my own personal account I would trade 2 or 3 at the most.
Think of a bonfire and throw some gasoline on it. The resultant
whoosh is what big moves in S&P's is like. If you are on the right side, you make a lot of money quick. If you are on the wrong side,
pray you have a reasonable stop.
