Ahhhh. Truth is I hadn't noticed anything until recently. And then I was talking to a guy who cleans my roof all the time and he mentioned it to me and I looked out the window and I could see it.

Whatever kind of beetle it is, the spruce beetle as I recall needed very cold winters to control its numbers. And we've had almost no winter the last two years, so I'm sure they are surviving like the dickens.

Well more global warming and it makes perfect sense that we would follow whatever disaster happens to you as the heat moves north. We are just a little bit above you.

And I have a glacier right behind my house that is melting like crazy. And the sides of the gap between the mountains allowing the glacier to move towards the sea is solid bedrock. And the more of it that gets exposed the more of it that can heat up when it is in the 70 and 80°. Once those rocks are heated up like that they continue to melt all the surrounding glacier tremendously.
