They will shed a lot of debt and welfare payments. Yathink Germany or France is gonna take that over?

As usual, balkanization is the best way forward for many nations and states. For example, conservatives and progressives in the U.S. are very long overdue for a divorce.

CJ,
Given the wingnut glee over the Brexit, there is no doubt that Great Britain is headed for an economic disaster.
Wishful thinking.

But now Obama and Hillary have their excuse for when the U.S. enters a recession this year.

Couldn't have worked out better for those two.

Utopian dreams die hard, so I'm not surprised by your never ending faith. The facts don't support your conclusions. Keynesianism has failed. Socialism and Communism have failed...again. Time for the world to go back through the convulsions necessary to rediscovery free markets, decentralization, and populism again. It's the way of the world. When the elites steal too much and push the 99% down too much, then the 99% revolt at scale. Thankfully, those revolts are manifesting mostly peacefully through voters right now. Let's hope that doesn't escalate beyond voting. The Kremlin is right when they say that Brexit resembles the beginning of the break up of the Soviet Union. The Union of Soviet SOCIALIST Republics broke apart because socialism on a grand scale doesn't work. Europe is now finding that out as well. How many more historical examples of Socialism failing do you lefties need to see before you start believing the empirical evidence parking itself so prominently in front of your noses?

And God help London. They are doomed.

OOPS! WRONG AGAIN. Do you know anything at all?

FTSE 100 surges towards record 7,000 highs as Brexit boom continues

BRITAIN´S top stock index jumped again during Monday morning trading, reaching towards its highest ever levels, as investor confidence continues to surge following vote to leave the European Union (EU). The FTSE 100 was up by around 0.4 per cent at the start of the week to hover at a 14-month high of around 6940. Proving Brexit fearmongers who warned of economic meltdown were wrong, the bluechip index is now around 12 per cent higher than it was immediately before the referendum. The index closed at its highest ever level of 7,096 in April last year,
