Looks to me like "it" is the EU, not the people. "It is indeed a class war, and the European "Union" is not used to losing.." At the moment, looks to me that they're winning or (losing less badly), and the big losers are England, the UK, and the British Empire, now in permanent sunset. The other winners will be the people of Scotland and Northern Ireland, California on the list of big economies, the USD, the Lost Wharf Rat Mine, and Trump's buddy Putin.
