Tntpal,
On the other hand, my wife & I are both perplexed as to all these 'Gay Pride' events. We do not think that it is something that should be flaunted about. What is there to be proud about in your sexual orientation?
They're trying to demonstrate to everyone that being gay is just fine, that if you're gay you should not have to hide it from anyone nor apologize for it.

Unlike being a Christian, of course. Even Tyler Perry, who just did a TV special this past Easter on the Passion of Jesus Christ, had to apologize multiple times to those who are not part of the Christian faith.

Well, that's your opinion and I respect your right to that.

The reality is that literally everyone discriminates based on personal preferences, likes, and dislikes.

Absolutely no one can say that he/she does not discriminate or hold bigoted views. Some may openly express bigoted views less frequently than others, but the views are still there to some degree (e.g., too old, too young, too thin, too fat, too black, too white, too smart, too dumb, too calm, too violent, too straight, too gay, too rich, too poor, too pretty, too ugly, etc.)

Discrimination is always there, and ever-present in everyone, without exception.
