Mike,
thanks for the post! A client of mine is 'associated ' w/ Bankers Trust/Brown...HYPOTHETICALLY, I asked him if a broker who slammed stocks on the internet called him up for a job....what would be his reaction? He said its' "unethical behavoir" and he wouldn't hire him, he also pointed out that he felt EVEREN wouldn't put up w/ that behavoir either. He also said he had heard "rumors" of brokers being paid to slam stocks on the internet, he said some ALLEGEDLY make more from slamming in cyberspace than they do from brokering.
I'm aware of the settlement, dude...I don't know enough about it to make a worthwhile critique......all the best,
Pugs
