I happened to look at the 1996 annual report (for the period ended January 31st, 1996) and noticed the following on the last page under "Segmented Information": 'Export sales to the United States, Europe and the Pacific rim represent approximately 17% and 42% of revenues for each of the years ended Jan 31,1996 and 1995, respectively.'

I presume this means that exports dropped significantly over this period. What percentage of exports is to the Pacific rim is not stated but would presumably be quite a bit less than 17%. I wish I could find last years report as it would provide more insight.

The last quarter was the first third quarter for at least three years during which the company has had positive earnings. The third quarter is traditionally bad for the company although the fourth is sometimes worse. This has to be somewhat encouraging.
