Apple, Adobe developing new Display standard for Rhapsody?

After several months of following this story, Rumors has finally
received reliable confirmation that Apple and Adobe are indeed
working together on, among many other projects, an
upgrade/replacement for Display PostScript in Rhapsody.

Earlier rumors pointed to a project, code-name "Bravo," which will allow virtually all existing Rhapsody applications to run without
changes, but will vastly improve speed, support, and add new
capabilities for multimedia and gaming applications.

Announcements to this effect may be made at Macworld during the
Apple/Adobe "stronger relationship" segment of Jobs' Keynote (if
indeed those announcements are made during the Keynote and not
as part of the background of the show), provided that Apple
chooses to give Rhapsody the attention it deserves during the
conference; there has been conflicting word on whether Apple
plans to downplay Rhapsody during that time, to concentrate on its products that are already on the market.

Next week should be interesting indeed.

Good luck to all in the coming week.
