One would think the admins would be more aware of the situation on SI than anyone else, but they appear to be the most clueless. A clock that continuously spins seemingly because of ads that never fully load or having to click and click and click to get a page to load is not a gracious welcome to prospective new members.

Oh, wait, my doorbell is ringing. I need to make sure the door is locked before telling my visitor to come in.

Two years down the road and Dmitry is still drawing criticism (which is drawing many recommendations) for the changes he made. There is no way he doesn't know his programming was deficient. It's just pure obstinance that keeps him from correcting it although no action on his part can restore his credibility "after all this time".
