Stealing my lines, Eh? Anyway, best of luck to all IPM stock holders for 1998. It's 1998 already in my neck of the woods (35o 17' S 149o 13' E) and nothing marvelous has happened - but I am prepared to give it a bit of time. Regarding your bucketing of Zeev, aren't you being a bit churlish miss pulchritude? Psoriasis is an awful disease, and I would think that Zeev's actions would be supported by anyone with any aquaintance with the effect of psoriasis. Luckily, I am not aquainted with anybody who suffers from psoriasis, but my background has given me insight into the condition, and I think Zeev's idea is a good one (I speak as an ex-evaluator of therapeutic materials - I worked for the equivalent of the FDA for 20 years). The standard treatment for psoriasis is "PUVA" treatment - that is, dosage with the drug 8-methoxypsoralen followed by exposure to UVA light (that is, UV light in the "A" part of the spectrum.) Unfortunately, this treatment is one of the few (very few - contary to common perceptions of the carcenogenicity of "chemicals") chemical exposures which has been proven to increase the incidence of cancer (mainly skin cancers I seem to remember). Any improvement in reducing unnecessary exposure is to be supported and I wish Zeev all the best in his venture. Incidentally, this chemical, and closely related chemicals, occur in significant amounts in parsnip, cellery, figs, many herbs in the umbelliferae family, and other food plants. Oil of Bergamot also used to contain it (it is now removed). Eating, or even contact with, any of the above and then being exposed to sunlight will give you a mild dose of "PUVA" therapy - long term it might also damage your corneas.
