When I say a very thoughtful guy. I do not expect perfection I know everything is subjective. And as far as history goes, people do the best they can. But someone has to write history.

I have read a lot of Durant and his thinking and I have found it quite sophisticated and as accurate as the human species generally gets. I was especially impressed that Durant understood how sophisticated the ancient Greeks were and that they were by and large the only large culture who's was comparable to modern-day thinking. To contemporary thinking.

And I don't expect perfection from anyone. I know that Durrant is outdated and has many things wrong according to modern knowledge. But to gain knowledge what other better course is there besides finding the great thinkers and learning from them?
