So maybe you are right after all. Sitting around disappointed with failed previous futures which went into the past, or whiling away the time reminiscing on happy memories, or pondering and imagining all sorts of futures but not presently producing them or enjoying the futures that are arriving will lead to depression, anxiety, ennui, etc. as good old Lao might have said or written. The difficulty is knowing what futures to create that will be useful and enjoyable when they arrive. Working away in the present to create futures that turn out to be have been bung ideas is bitterly disappointing. But the future can't be avoided as it's going to arrive anyway, coming ready or not, messing with the present in probably unpleasant ways unless action is taken now to present them or create better alternatives. Already, next week is looming and I have only a weekend left to be ready for it. Now you have me worrying whether I should just have a happy weekend, or do something about what might happen next week that will spoil my happy week if I don't do something to avoid it this weekend. So many futures possible, so little time to make them, and a little ball of awareness watching what did happen slide by into the past, lost forever. I should short the euro and dollar. There is such fear of the future Brexit here in London that property prices are falling, share prices of banks took a hit, woe betiding is pandemic, the pound has been pounded. To me, it seems an excellent thing to ditch the $billions of kleptocrats in Bruxelles and enjoy England [Scotland and Ireland will hopefully be booted out too - the Scots and Irish moan too much and want independence and they are right]. Then England could introduce Tradable Citizenship and become the best place on the planet once again, showing yet again how the benighted masses around the world could improve their lot. The Euroserfs are the ones with the problem. They want to drag England down too. Lovely London shouldn't be used as a cash cow to pork barrel the Bruxelles bureaucrats. Virtuous Victorian Values rulz okay. Mqurice
