DM, I don't even own a TV, so CNBC certainly doesn't waste any of my time. I don't read "People" either, so I was fortunate there again to have missed that article on Maria B. I think Maria B's words do move individual stocks, only because of the number of CNBC viewers. As people become convinced of her effect, they initiate trades, and thus her effect becomes sort of a self-fullfilling prophecy. But, very many more false "reliable" take-over rumors started by her, and her effect will begin to wane, I would think. In any event, her effect is short-lived on individual stock issues. It's only very short-term traders who trade by her words, from what I've observed.
