Short selling might seem more risky, but if you picked the right plays, you are almost guaranteed to make money. I can tell you that
I have NEVER lost a dime shorting stocks, and I have shorted at least
30 times in the past 4 months that I have been actively trading, it's
not that big of a deal. To me, the ability to spot a rally and get in ahead is much more difficult, and commands more respect.
Being a daytrader/positional trader, to ride CUBE from 17 (well, 16 11/16) to 20+ is good enough for me, I rarely invest in any stocks,
just because I know that I do not have the vision for long term trading, and I much rather stay in cash. I have no comment on your post, let the next 7 days speak for itself, after all, we invest/trade to make money, whoever makes the most money will have the last word.

Rarebird, we will have to agree to disagree on the destiny of CUBE. In 1998 fundamentals will rule. Hope you have a good year for all of '98.
