No, he was warned about those posts. What he was suspended for should be obvious. He posted PMs without getting permission of the one who sent them. That is a direct violation of the TOS. In general, you can get away with such things unless there is a complaint. Since Ron was warning him about his behavior and, by implication watching his posts, well... It should be no surprise if you essentially dare someone with the power to suspend you to suspend you that it happens. That is know as "reality". John was warned and he dared Ron to suspend him, per the warning. So it happened. But it is a fact that blacks murder whites and whites murder blacks. There is nothing racist about commenting on either. And whites murder whites and blacks murder blacks. If you only comment about one of the four, yeah, there is something wrong with that. Because you are fostering an impression that only that occurs. Or it is particularly outrageous. It is sort of like only posting about terrorism where a Muslim is one of the participants. It is far from the only form of terrorism in this country. You are far more likely to be a victim of terrorism where the participant(s) is(are) practicing Christians. But, sadly, that is ok in this country.
