Restricting guns because they have a bayonet lug doesn't even even have remote plausibility as a way to lead to less mass killings.

The argument is sometimes made that murder rates went down after the assault weapons ban was put in to effect. That's true but its also true that it kept declining at a similar rate after the federal ban was repealed. There isn't any evidence of it having any effect on either murder totals or mass shootings.

I've never understood suicide by gun. There are so many drugs you can pleasantly OD on. I don't get why they aren't used for executions too - the states all seize mass quantities of them.
