My $0.02 re hostile takeovers....

It might work if you are buying a company that is mostly hype and a good business plan...I consider this to be Nike or Coke as they sell $10 shoes for $80 and sugar water. Of course, they are too expensive to buy, but are easy illustrations.

I don't think it works when what you are buying are some great minds that know how to do something that others can't do or might invent something. Of course you have patents, but really knowing how to make the processes work is key and takes the key people. Hostile takeovers usually allienate the key players unless they are well taken care of and then you might not have the cash leftover...

Now a friendly merger is another story..... (ala Lam and Ontrak)
