Robert, not true. I was never into "death matches". I have better than a T1 line for access and now a PII.300. To play death matches would be decidedly unfair. I would rather lose to someone with more potential than I who simply said ... lacks the toys. I just bought myself an Xmas present in the form of a SuperMicro MB with PII and I suddenly realized that anyone who owned a CYRX p7 chip was history. I buy the best there is every year -- at year-end -- regardless of cost -- and this year it happens that it was a cheap toy called a PII/300. We continue to agree on Socket 7 as the future ... because for all of the speed I have ... it still isn't that much better than my "good ol'" CYRX to make it worth more than the $1K+ I spent. I spent the $1K+ on a PII and I got what I paid for. No more. When you need more and pay for more and get more, you have received "value" ... and "value" defines my investment strategy. If my value took the form of a PII, that does not make Intel look any better long nor less the short. Whatever I have said and know, I wish only the happiest of new years for ny friends ... including dear Fuchi, Robert, Carl and so may others that I can not count them on my fingers and toes. Craig
