I could not locate any provision to that effect in the TOU.....but I have to admit my eyes glaze over reading it and may have missed it...

Ron isn't my buddy. Never met the man. Other than a warning I was given, I haven't communicated with him.

He has, in the past, said that posting PMs without permission is a violation of the TOU. Since this is pretty common, I haven't really questioned it. If I were to guess, it would come under the part which reads...


Use Silicon Investor for illegal purposes or for the transmission of material that is unlawful, harassing, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, obscene, tortuous ("tortious" or whatever -- you know what we mean), improper or otherwise objectionable.

Now I suppose you can argue that PMs, despite their name, really don't fall under this stipulation. In that case, take it up with Ron and the SI administration. I have few doubts that you could put together a strong case, so go for it...

And if you get banned, no doubt it will be because of your political views and most certainly not because you are a jerk.
