Don, <Now America insists on importing newer classes of future criminals!> Doe it make you wonder if they are looking for cheap labour and gambling on crime? Who profits? Big business. Who pays? The tax payer. Of course the criminal element like coming to the US. It has such a overblown need to show it's criminal past and in doing so have layed out the carpet for those are so inclined. They have brought it on themselves.

Crime is greater always among the disposessed and newly arrived than the settled and privileged. We know it has nothing whatsoever to do with the attitude of the police to be more vigilant with "minorities". (You may put your own question mark in here now) BUT. It's crime nontheless. I had been born a project black I am not sure how I would accept the "challenge". Perhaps we should encourage blacks and other new nationals (Russians) to at least segue into white collar crime. Violence is so grotty. (The official minority in USA and Canada is now the descendent of the European. Its officially now 40% european, 60% other in those countries.) Whites are in minority to other races as a group now. Glass ceilings and just plain ceilings are semi-reality that probably get over emphasized by the natural cruelty of the system to all. But it has nothing to do with the ceiling being at the factory door. With the gov't (with its attendant size out of proportion to the private sector) and others hiring through affirmative action for the last 20 years its doubtful that unfairness to other than whites is a big factor now in making a living. The abominable social conditions caused by absentee fatherhood, poverty and lack of good education and example will predetermine the future and employability of many innercity "minorities" and is a greater cause in itself than one group not liking another. A colour blind employer going by the book on employability has to favour the better educated with work experience and a no criminal record and no dope habit. Where it has been tried to hire inner city people by relaxing standards and wages to get some profit, it was condemned as exploitation. Cocaine sales are non-exploitive and do pay better. We cannot force people to like each other. We cannot ease racial tensions by fiat. It isn't just a few bad slavemaster mentalities that make trouble. Groups will clash. Where this will end is probably not as any group wants it. If America does not solve the overpopulation, education and social problems in its growing welfare dependent neighborhoods it is headed for social collapse. EC<:-}
