Well you should have gone on to analyse Placer's brilliant moves in Many other venues. They have effed up at Musselwhite and were saved only by consultants (Rigg, I am afraid to say, who cut his teeth on this one) one of which tried to hire me. I was the seed that heaped scorn on their sample tower approach which had underreported grade by a whopping 60%. Then ten years later they use the same cursed towers to get the grade results of the QK zone which they under-report ten months later as uneconomic. They have lost property ot gov't expropriation in Indonesia in the 50's, overpayment for bad grade determination in BC in the 80's,(200 mill loss at Fish lake) bad staking in Chile and mismanagement of the environment in Costa Rica in the in the 90's. Venezuela would only be fitting culmination to their long laundry list of badly run operations. Perennial waste of gold at their operation in Red Lake operation was another one. If you add in their oil division in the 70's it has to be the most expensive shareholder loss and bankruptcy in Canadian history. Hoping for them to win this one is wishful thinking I am afraid. How do they make any money at all? Its a wonder. Bad strategic planning and fundamental honesty in policy panies has cost CDN shareholders billions. Lac, Dome, Cominco, Dome Pete,..they have all had their 100 million dollar boondoggles. Trying to make them rich and powerful whiz kids with their fingers on the pulse of Latin America doesn't wash. The trouble with your argument is it's not an argument. It has no points. It doesn't say where they win and how. All you are saying is they gotta win, this is Latin America, this is Dome mines. So?
