.jpg- re: gary johnson as NM gov this is off-the-cuff and totally from a citizen perspective plus my govt. tv experience and a couple of personal encounters... you'd do better with wikipedia for an overview of him 1. almost perfect gary was the owner of a successful home building company in NM. not a politician and not well known in the state - low key. he ran as a republican but wasn't politically connected. he approached the governor's job as a CEO administrator. the legislature was democrat... no problema... he let the lawmakers make the laws and he ran the admin. of govt. services. no partisan fights no scandals no hating his best qualities (IMHO) calm, efficient, competent, unassuming, unbought, never, never mean probably one of the best governors the state has had if you like the values above. he wasn't flashy and he wasn't trashy. four and a half stars out of five, is my personal review. his liberal stance on cannabis was unknown or unestablished at that time... too early for it to be PC. -lep86
