Lotus will release its $49 eSuite based on Java 1.1 and the new, lightening fast Java VMs being put out by Sun. Sun realizes the importance of the Lotus effort and that's why Sun and IBM have spared no expense in guiding Lotus into the world of distributed, object-oriented development. Or from Corel's perspective, that alien world where they had no business being in the first place. The fact remains, Corel is an embarrassment to the Java development community although they do serve as a bad example. Corel stands as a monument to incompetence and a stark reminder that they are not capable of designing, implementing or delivering a meaningful software product. Unless and until Cowpland is terminated, there is no hope of this company.
