I found this old press release, but i thought there was a more recent one about it being "January, 1998."

HOUSTON, Texas, December 23, 1996 -- Noble Drilling Corporation announced today that its subsidiary, Noble Drilling (U.S.) Inc., has entered into a letter of intent with Shell Deepwater Development Inc., an affiliate of Shell Oil Company, for a drilling contract for a Noble Drilling EVA-4000 semi submersible rig.... The conversion, which the company calls EVA-4000, will result in a rig designed and capable of
performing drilling operations in water depths of up to 6,000 feet.

The initial term of the drilling contract is four years, with an option to SDDI to extend for a fifth year at predetermined day rates. The parties anticipate that delivery of the EVA-4000 semi submersible rig to SDDI could occur late in the first quarter of 1998....
