Makers of low-cost personal computers may be in a mood to celebrate Wednesday. According to a study, new PCs priced at less than $1,000 accounted for more than 40 percent of this year's Christmas computer sales, the Wall Street Journal said. Those lower-priced computer makers whose stocks may be rewarded include Compaq (CPQ), down 3/8 to 54-3/4 and IBM (IBM), up 3/8 to 103-1/8. Chip maker Cyrix (CYRX), whose semiconductors have made inroads against Intel in the lower-priced PC market, was unchanged at 27-7/8. GO CPQ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
