If they are legal to manufacture here, that sort of seems to be logical. Would that mean gunrunners, that very noble profession? Probably. It doesn't seem to be a problem in Australia. Likewise, the whole breaking into homes to steal the money so the perp. can buy one from a gunrunner doesn't seem to be either. Prohibition of booze didn't work because it can be made domestically with very unsophisticated equipment. Likewise many drugs. Meth can be done in a 2 liter plastic bottle. Guns have never been tried. They are harder to make in garages. Or at least ones that likely won't kill the shooter. There is no real reason for a law abiding citizen to have a semi-automatic weapon. Even for self-defense. If they feel they need to engage in criminal behavior, that is more their problem than anything else. Uh no. Why would it make pump shotguns illegal? When was the last time a mass shooting was done with a pump shotgun? Go ahead. Take your time. As to your other "thought". I dunno about you, but I have never had anyone kick down my front door, with or without baseball bats. Nor do I know anyone who has. Or anyone who knows anyone, out to a lot of connections. This is like being struck with lightning, it has a pretty close to zero chance of happening. I don't tend to lose much sleep worrying over things with that low of a probability. I am much more worried about a fire, which is at least possible. Talk about fantasy land, if that is something you worry about. You do realize the zombie apocalypse isn't really going to happen, don't you? Besides, if I wanted a handgun, I want something that would actually do the job. Something like the FN 57. Low recoil so I could keep on target, as a result very accurate, light trigger pull. If the first bullet doesn't do the job, which is doubtful, the next 3 or 4 would. A bullet designed to tumble does a great job in transferring energy to the target. Unlike the penis replacement you suggest, it would actually do the job needed. But, I don't want one. There are a lot more things I'd rather spend my money on. In addition, I don't have erectile dysfunction and need an artificial aid like you apparently do.
