Copy of Research Report-A BUY!(Last summer)
Golden Hemlock Explorations (GHE : VSE
$1.00 : Issued 19.0M; 23.5M f.d. : Discounted Au in-situ 352,000 ozs.), like the majority of junior mining stocks, have been under significantpressure. For Golden Hemlock, this also coincided with the conclusion of the first phase of drilling and thus a lack of exploration results. On May 15, Golden Hemlock concluded the purchase of a 100% interest in the a 550-ha concession which hosts the Purisima, La Union, Tres Amigos, and Gossan targets in Mexico. More importantly, though, exploration is set to resume with an initial program of airborne geophysics. Also, an 8,000 m drill program is set to be underway by the first of June with initial focus directed at the Tres Amigos target where previous drilling yielded up to 21 m grading 14 g/t Au. The program will focus on depth and strike
extension with wide spaced holes (100 m centres). Golden Hemlock has
also hired an independent consultant to overview the program's progress and methods. We maintain our SPECULATIVE BUY recommendation, noting the project's potential for multiple gold zones which could host a geologic resource in excess of 1M ozs. in situ.

BOBF 5 to 10 million oz. 7/9/97 11:43 7000

Hugh,
I spoke to the IR guy named Peter Hill. This guy is a trip. He says Tres Amigos has 5 to 10 million oz. by itself.
I asked him about drill holes 35 and 36 that they never gave results from on the first drill program. He said they probably had lousy numbers so they never reported them.
I asked him if they would reprice their options. He said no way.
He said that Gossan Cap or whatever has a surface deposit that's heap leachable and he said the current mill could only handle 250 tons a day and that won't be sufficient.
He said they were having trouble with their drills and I said these drills were supposed to be newly reconditioned.
He said they have about two hole cores in the can and they won't have any news for two weeks.
I asked him if they had the cash to continue the program and he said if they needed any more they had a major that has offered financing.
He spoke matter of factly about this property, as if he didn't give a damn whether I owned the stock or not.
He said they're not in bed with Canaccord and ain't even real crazy about Canaccord.
As far as berating you for being objective, I think it's damn refreshing instead of all that rah rah crap.
BOBF
