I remember early on when we first went to TSMC at Qualcomm for the first CDMA chips, I got a call from the fab manager saying they wanted to give all my fab volume away. When I asked why, he said this new game was tearing up the world and he wanted to sell my space to them so they could make a "ton more money". I held my ground, but it was interesting. the game was the Tomaguchi. Filled the entire FAB for like 4 months. then died a big death...... Pokémon is a phase. We will see how long it consumes everyone.
