HAZ - Flow Through Shares In response to your question on residency requirements, this is one instance where paying Canadian taxes has an advantage -- only those individuals paying Canadian income taxes can avail themselves of the flow through share mechanism. I do not believe that the US tax legislation allows for a comparable financial instrument, but I really do not have any specialized knowledge of the US tax system, so please check with a US based source.
