See page 2, where CBO has projected that once the deficit hits a trillion again (by 2022), there is never a return to sub-trillion dollar deficits projected. Period. cbo.gov Should interest rates increase the deficit will increase rapidly. It is a disaster that has already happened and people do not realize it.
