A true story.

I went to Best Buy to get the Riven, stop by the computer counter and overheard the conversation between a guy and a salesperson. This guy came in to buy a Superdisk drive (don't know where he heard that product), he asked the salesperson to open the locked windows and get one LS-120 out for price check. It's $199 including a $70 rebate.
Salesperson:" You might be better off getting a ZIP, It's the STANDARD."
-"ZIP? WHat's the difference?"
-"It uses 100MB disk, and you are going to find a lot more ZIP drives around than this one (LS-120)."
-"can the ZIP use the floppy disk?"
-"No. It's not backward compatible with floppy, but why do you need another floppy drive if you already have one?"
-"Where can I find one (the ZIP)?"
-"Over there" point to the end of the shelf with piles of ZIPs.

The guy went over and pickup one PP ZIP, looked all sides of the box and went to the check out counter. Best Buy sale ZIP for $149 with $30 rebate. Poor guy if he came in last week he can get one for $99 after rebate.
