It looks more and more like this was some sort of false flag by Erdogan to seize power. I doubt that 2700 judges were riding around in tanks yesterday. Given how poorly it ran, I doubt Vlad had his hands in it -- too crude, even for the Russians. Interestingly enough, Erdogan is blaming this all on his former ally, now archrival, Gulen. Gulen is a controversial iman who preaches a form of Islam that is as ultra-liberal as Salafism is ultra-conservative; the kind of Islam that people like the inventors of the Coexist bumper sticker believe actually exists. Stuff like interfaith dialogues; Western ideas; a rejection of literal interpretation of Shariah law. Never let a crisis go to waste.
