For what it's worth, and as someone who has known Chip for many moons on these boards, perhaps I can offer a bit of objectivity as far as the Chip/isopatch scuffle.

I actually was surprised at Chip's post, having been reading along as the regular Ox/isopatch scrapes would come and go. I think Chip barged into the then current back and forth with less than a clear picture of where it stood, and as often happens on SI given the limitations of the medium, stirred up more than was actually going on between those two.

It's pretty clear from his posts that followed that he wasn't really aware of the entire picture, and may not be at this point. I mean no offense to Chip. This stuff happens on SI. But, that's the way I saw it as it happened and as it has continued.

Nothing really huge to be concerned over, but obviously feelings were hurt and misunderstanding continues. I'm not trying to point a finger of blame. Just observing with no dog in the hunt. I hope this post helps, although I fear it may only pour further fuel on whatever is going on.

Thank you, John, for a great board. I've been around here for going on 20 years, and other than a board on horse racing and one on my broker, this is the only one I read these days.
