Paul, All that's going to give me is the market cap. There's nothing to compare it with. Intel has historically been priced like a company producing a commodity and experienced earnings growth like a company manufacturing and selling a highly specialized, and in the market's view, technically superior, product. The multiple has expanded as the market has come to realize that Intel isn't Micron Technology. The current PE is historically high but you wonder if the market finally realizes that Intel's growth prospects in a series of different businesses are attractive. Histotrically, when sentiment changes from negative to positive on this stock it moves up very quickly. The entry point then becomes the point when you feel that the bad "news" (and I use that word loosely) on the stock has already been digested by the market.
I'm betting that the worst is over.
