Paul, thanks. 50-60% margins on the "lowest" end chip doesn't seem too bad, especially if it doesn't cannabilize the 70-80% high-end chips. According to BW, Intel's margins on the P-233MMX is 83%, assuming a $300 price and $50 cost. This represents higher margins for this chip than I previously thought. I think this is significant since this chip is one of Intel's volume leaders and are now appearing in PCs close to $1000. Any idea what margins are for this chip now??? There is no way Intel is selling in high-volume at $300, but the OEM price is still around $250-$270. Can Intel sell the chip for $250 for a $1000-$1200 system?

By the way, the PII-333 is now available on PriceWatch. Where is the AMD-266???? <gg>
