What altitude can a SCUD reach? Optimum would be about 50 miles.

The EMP hit is my main concern. Got the land, the water, the guns and ammo and a few close friends. Starting to build a butt and pass log retreat this year.

Bought about $400 of seeds and an American Canner 25 quart. I remember the old days when my family planted for food and canned for the future. It's time for me, newly retired, to start the old system all over again.

I am hoping some of these missile defense programs we are supposed to have, work.

They'd only need to a be a few miles off the coast...and they could shoot the missile right up into the sky - virtually in a straight line

They'd harden the ship best they suppose it needed since they'd also be a victim of the burst. But who knows the true effect of these things and what it would take to immunize your own vessel.

That's scary enough...considering that a single EMP attack could result in a domino-effect collapse of the grid across the country. But what if there was a coordinated attack from all three coasts? What if terrorists shot three of these all at the same time?
Every read Lightning Fall? That's part of the storyline.
