"Technical analysis is as much an art as a science, otherwise everyone could simply read a book, buy a $50 piece of software and make their fortune trading the market. Yesterday I posted that I saw a potential bottom forming in cube because of the way I interpreted the action in the indicators I follow (strong bullish divergence near a support line of 16 1/4.) Jay K posted that to him the chart looked bearish. This difference in interpretation happens all the time. It is what makes a market and keeps the best technical analysts humble."

Don, From the above, I was curious about how the different interpretation as to what will happen next came from? Could it be possibly the "millions of bits of information" you alluded to earlier? If so, why bother with the TA and just focus on the "external" events relative to the current price of the stock.
