Here's the text of the pledge which was signed by all of the Republican candidates: I (name) affirm that if I do not win the 2016 Republican nomination for president of the United States I will endorse the 2016 Republican presidential nominee regardless of who it is. I further pledge that I will not seek to run as an independent or write-in candidate nor will I seek or accept the nomination for president of any other party. In March of this year, Cruz reaffirmed that pledge. "My answer is the same," Politico reported Cruz told reporters when asked if he would support Trump. "I committed at the outset, I will support the Republican nominee, whoever it is." Cruz is not along in violating the pledge. Joining the Texas Senator are former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, and Ohio Governor John Kasich.
